Lake County in northeastern Ohio... Southwestern Ashtabula County in northeastern Ohio... * Until 430 PM EST. * At 327 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Perry to near Lakewood, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Whiteout conditions with near zero visibility associated with intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to blowing snow. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph. SOURCE...Radar and webcams. IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes. This snow squall will impact portions of I-90, I-480, I-271, and U.S. route 422. Locations impacted include... Northwestern Crawford County in northwestern Pennsylvania... * Until 400 PM EST. * At 302 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from 23 miles north of Fairport Harbor to 11 miles northwest of North Kingsville to near Erie, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...Whiteout conditions with near zero visibility associated with intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to blowing snow. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes. Impacts to portions of I-90 and northern I-79 are expected. Locations impacted include... Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Numerous measured wind gusts of 45 to 62 mph have been recorded at area weather stations late this morning and early this afternoon. This includes a gust to 61 mph at 12:19 pm EST at the Pittsburgh International Airport. Power outages have also been reported in several areas.

Summary: * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph. * WHERE...Geauga County. * WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall is expected this afternoon into the overnight hours. Snowfall rates may exceed 1 inch per hour at times.
