Ponding in urban areas is also possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 448 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in 24 hours. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Summary: * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snowmelt is possible. * WHERE...Coos, Curry, Josephine, Jackson, western and central Douglas, and western Siskiyou counties, including all small drainages, creeks, and streams, especially those where melting snow may contribute to high run off. * WHEN...From this evening through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
