Summary: At 426 PM MDT, Thunderstorms produced 0.75 to 1.5 inches of rain in the Upper Paria River Basin. Flash flooding is already ongoing, with flows anticipated to continue moving downstream through the Paria River. HAZARD...Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms producing life- threatening flash flooding in the Upper Paria River. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, and backcountry roads. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... eastern and lower elevation portions of Bryce Canyon National Park, Tropic and Cannonville, and the Paria River from Tropic through Herm Pollock slot canyon.
