Summary: WEATHER... * A narrow snowband is currently located along a line extending from Coldwater to Lansing to Owosso and tracking east- northeast around 35 to 40 mph. * A quick half inch of additional snow accumulation remains possible with this band. * Air temperatures range between 21 and 27 degrees. * Winds are south-southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. IMPACTS... * Accumulating snow will lead to snow covered and slippery roads particularly on bridges, exit ramps, and overpasses. * Pockets of moderate snow will cause reductions in visibility to a half mile in the band.

Summary: A band of light to moderate snow is moving through Lower Michigan and northern Indiana this morning.This band is creating reduced visibilities and potential for slick roadways, especially along and north of I-80/I-90. A few tenths to up to an inch (mainly in MI) of snow accumulation are possible through early afternoon.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Keweenaw and Northern Houghton Counties. * WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

Summary: * WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 36 below possible. * WHERE...Baraga, Dickinson, Iron, Marquette, Menominee, Gogebic, Keweenaw, Northern Houghton, Ontonagon, and Southern Houghton Counties. * WHEN...From Thursday evening through Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with highest amounts between I-94 and I-69. * WHERE...All of Southeast Michigan. * WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions are expected to impact the Wednesday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snowfall will continue to increase in coverage through the early morning hours, with peak rates expected to occur between 6 and 10 AM.
