Rip Current Statement issued February 13 at 3:00AM ChST until February 13 at 4:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU

Summary: * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet and dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, north facing reefs of the Marianas. For the High Rip Current Risk, north, and east facing reefs. * WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Friday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The north swell and northeast trade swell will continue to produce hazardous surf along north facing reefs and maintain a high risk of rip currents along north and east facing reefs. Surf and rip current risk are expected to fall below hazardous conditions tonight along all reefs.
