Summary: * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 35 below expected. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and southeast Minnesota and northwest and west central Wisconsin. * WHEN...Until 11 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...The very cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.

In Wisconsin, Price, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band, the Grand Portage Reservation, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County and the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake, East Lake, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas. Other locations including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.
