Summary: Dense smoke from the actively burning National Fire in Big Cypress National Preserve is gradually drifting west to southwest across Collier County early this morning. Visibilities may drop below 1 mile at times through daybreak as periods of hazardous air quality remain possible, especially across Lely, Goodland, and Marco Island. Motorists are advised to drive with caution over the next several hours as visibilities may widely vary over short distances. Use low beam headlights and leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road when encountering significant reductions in visibility. Allow extra time to travel to destinations.

Summary: ...Low humidity and gusty southwest winds will produce a High Fire Danger today across northern portions of east central Florida... The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 6 PM EST this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Volusia, Lake, Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Northern Brevard Counties. * WIND...Southwest winds 15 mph with gusts up to 20 to 25 mph. * HUMIDITY...30 to 35 percent. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Summary: Dense smoke from the actively burning National Fire in Big Cypress National Preserve has resulted in reduced visibilities, less than 1 mile at times. The Florida Highway Patrol is currently in the process of closing Alligator Alley between SR-29 (Exit 80) and US-27 (Exit 23). Seek alternative routes and visit FL511 for additional road closure information. Reduced visibilities will remain possible through daybreak as smoke remains concentrated near the surface. Motorists are advised to drive with caution over the next several hours as visibilities may widely vary over short distances. Use low beam headlights and leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road when encountering significant reductions in visibility. Allow extra time to travel to destinations.
