Summary: At 1253 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Deforest to near Rock City, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 1228 AM, the sensor near Dodgeville measured 58 mph wind gusts. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Madison, Janesville, Beloit, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, Middleton, Stoughton, Waunakee, Monroe, Verona, Oregon, McFarland, Monona, Mount Horeb, Windsor, Edgerton, Evansville, Prairie Du Sac, Marshall, and Sauk City.

Summary: Dry conditions and gusty winds will lead to near-critical fire weather conditions Saturday. West winds of 5 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph are forecast Saturday and will turn northwest behind a cold front late Saturday morning through early afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 30 percent are also expected. Together, these conditions could lead to the rapid spread of fires. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning.
