A band of light freezing rain will move through northeast Wisconsin through early afternoon. The Neopit, Keshena, Gillett, Oconto Falls, Oconto and Sturgeon Bay are most likely to see the light freezing rain. The precipitation is falling from a high cloud base, and much of it will evaporate before hitting the surface, so any icing should be very light and patchy. However, those areas that do receive a brief period of freezing rain may experience slippery roads. Motorists should be alert for the possibility of a brief period of freezing rain late this morning. If it is raining, slow down and keep a safe distance from other vehicles, as locally icy conditions may develop quickly. |
